We reviewed Eclipse several months ago and found it to be too much. Besides Java it appears to also handle C and C++. All three are horrible and cryptic languages. There was absolutely no .NET support! The amount of functionality was too much for even our best MSCE. It had support for something called Ant, some unit testing oddity, and wanted to connect to a versioning system called CVS. Who needs that. With our $1500 per copy Enterprise Visual Studio we get project build files and it ties nicely into Microsoft SourceSafe. What a deal!
