I haven't heard of any viruses (viri is incorrent in English) for Linux.

Infact, I don't even have anti-virus software (they exist) on my gentoo because I don't expect it to get infected anytime soon.

Also, I assume you aren't counting the computer departments in all the major colleges located across the world which actually HAVE desktop computer labs. Or government departments that use Linux as desktop PC's. Or many of the popular public game servers, most of which are desktops running the linux version of the game server (quake, half-life, savage...). If you did, your 0.03% would be a lot bigger.

BTW, my university's ratio is probably something like 10% linux to 60% windows (many BSD and Mac users too). Linux is still small when compared, but its nowhere near your numbers.

Linux Desktop is actually a misnomer, as the desktop is really just another server that Linux runs.
