- Sounds like money

Every time one of these things go around I can count on my billing to go up. Heck, I'm still getting calls for Blaster infections. lol. Cha-ching!
I should be more grateful to M$. For the first part of my career I made money installing their products. Then I made money with seemingly never ending upgrades of their products. Lately I've made money fixing their crap, replacing NT boxes with Linux servers, and running OSS tests including OpenOffice and desktop replacements.
The only sucky part is after upgrading a customer to Linux I don't get nearly as many calls. Fortunately there are still vast numbers of Windows machines out there and a new virus-of-the-day coming along all the time. I'm pretty sure I can keep occupied the rest of my time in technology. Stopping to think about it I owe my whole IT career to MS. Thanks, Billy!
Thank you M$ for making insecure, crap products, viewing your customers as a revenue stream, and riding them harder than Seattle Slew. Because if you made good products and treated your customers with respect I'd have to find another line of work. lol. - Posted by: Chad_z Posted on: 01/19/04 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
