Last time I checked, neither China nor Redmond were in California. Isn't Microsoft located in Washington state, and Lee work is for China.

If he is to work in Calif, the contract signed should not be null and void just because he moved to a state with a different set of laws. a contract is a contract.

Then why shouldn't you then be able to sign an exclusive contact to, say, endorse a product, and then move to another state and endorse a product for someone else, if their law allows it?
