Just cancel H1Bs, its real simple. Companies are importing people, training them up in US industry. Then they go home, then their employed by the same company offshore for a lot less money.

Some other country gets the business, yet none of the big offshore countries could compete in IT without US help. Finland is more competition to US IT than India & China combined.

There's no shortage of US IT staff, the boom is over, and there's no special skills other countries have in IT that US doesn't have.

It isn't a trade issue, there is no trade agreement that requires US to allow imports & exports of people.

UK decimated its IT industry with a similar *easy visas* scheme (I got hit by the oversupply), but they reduced it, so why not the US?
