Good on Google
I would say that if Google really does win developers' hearts and minds, they have everything to gain and nothing to lose. MS have alienated developers thro' their Microsoft Business Solutions Division which can only grow by annihilating the very developers that buy Visual Studio and MSDN. 2006 through 2007 are going to be bloody years for developers and ISV's as MBS attempts to unleash its products. After that MBS might just be 'absorbed' into the product bundle, but that wont change the effect. Any alternative 'platform' is going to be welcome.
