Sorry, didn't mean to offend.
The obvious answer is that a great many people want this or they wouldn't be signing up for it. Now *you* may not see a value to it but others do.

As an example, lets say for whatever reason I want to replace a DLL. Being able to see the code and exactly how it works is a huge benefit to doing this.

By the way, no one said you can't change the code, you simply can't distribute it in any way. For a company that wants or needs a specific feature/change this is a big plus.
