Well, since Google was prepared for MS legal recourse
it comes as no real surprise. They created an employee contract that would give him the amount of paid 'leave' to cover the ramifications of his prior contract with known noncompete clause, . . . maybe its good publicity. As if Microsoft was not going to invoke the clause and sue. They've spent so much time in court, of course they take others in. Maybe Google should have just started the twelve months leave, worked on changing the industry non compete clauses mentality, and made happy happy smiley faces with Google Earth and Google Chat, to be followed soon by Google Credit Card and the Google, a new dance coming to a night club near you.
