Outsourcing is gonna continue for quite some time now
http://money.cnn.com/2005/08/23/news/international/india_outsourcing/index.htm

Well, face it. that's the truth.. Indian call centres are seeing phenomenal growth. If u look at the story closely u would see that the actual amount of outsourcing to India would grow to about $ 14 billion from $ 2 billion in 2004. India's share would reduce to 45% from about 85% now as India does not have enough people to take up all those jobs.. Which is fine..

Now about quality: I've worked in a tech support center for some time and I have seen that most Indians who are working there are either engineers or at least have a bachelors degree.. whereas tech support jobs in the US are not considered to be the best ones.. and it is completely normal to find people who have not gone beyond high school in Tech support centers.

The choice is yours to take: U want and Indian Engineer to solve ur computer problem or an American high School graduate.. who would cost u more than the Indian Engineer..
