Miro started the Mambo foundation.
If I were to become a member I couldn't write this answer to your post, as it would mean a breach of the code of conduct...
The pricing for any kind of membership beyond the basic is ridiculous - basically it is about bying yourself influence in an open source project, which kind of goes against the whole idea.

The new foundation left out the developers, basically telling the group that have supplied a few hundred man-years of free work: "So long, thanks for the fish".

I'm not ready to call it a powergrab per see, or to see a conspiracy in it. But I fully understand if the developers came all disgruntled over it. So would I.
