Microsoft should fear Google, SalesForce, and others, NOT Linux.
Starting with businesses, we will transform to accessing all applications online and write for the web, NOT for Windows. This will slowley reduce the dependency on Windows and allow a significant proportion ditch their Windows computers for Linux terminals that just run a browser. And, look for people to start writing for Firefox if they need something to run locally. Much easier to make a Firefox extension work cross-platform.

Linux is not what Microsoft should fear the most.
