Do I have the right to drive YOUR car where I want???
"The right to run your own software from your own software?"

The copy of Windows on my machine is *MY* software. M$ no longer owns it once *I* purchase it (and no, I didn't merely purchase a license). If I tweak my machine a certain way, NO ONE has the right to change that (not even Buddha or Jesus).
This was just another sorry attempt by M$ to break the law and do as they pleased. It must be much harder to track people when they use a non-spyware ridden browser. IE provides them with an extra tracking mechanism (and no, I will not post links documenting this; if you don't know this you are retarded at this point). I'm sure this "patch" will just be moving the tracking into Windows itself so you will be tracked regardless.

"Give what up? The right to run your own software from your own software?"

Well, um, excuse me but isn't that what I have given up and not Microsoft??? Isn't what you're saying in fact the complete opposite of what you think it means?...
