So why do you run Windows Update?
To keep all of those Microsoft applications up to date or just because you are "supposed to". It must take up some time.

BTW, it looks like 9 + .5 == 9.5. That's almost 10% of your problems being spyware -- a lot of spyware. Were the configuration issues and windows glitches causing you any problems with anything other than Windows Update?
