Are they kidding?
Beta releases are for the express purpose of
detecting 'bugs' and 'performance' issues. If I
read the article correctly, Microsoft is going
ahead with a release in spite of the fact that a
LARGE proportion of their beta testers have
disclosed many 'bugs' and definite 'performance'
issues. Not only that, but Microsoft has just
publicly stated that they will ship a 'finished'
product on Nov 7. Period. The 'bugs' and
'performance' issues will be fixed...or not. If
fixed, they certainly will not go through another
beta release to prove out the fixes. Anybody
waiting for Nov. 7 so they can rush out and buy
this wonderful piece of software?
