Oracle's MySQL
You know, if Oracle DID buy MySQL it could be a great
strategic move. They give MySQL away for free (or you can
purchase support), stop adding features (so companies will
want to upgrade), and make the upgrade to Oracle so
painless that a company would be foolish to look at any
other product. Then they could say "Now who has the
cheapest database?" It's a PR win and a customer win.

Too bad they're busy screwing themselves over trying to
buy PeopleSoft...
