Strategic mistake
I seriously think this is a major mistake by HP. HP needs to focus on embedding further support and coordination with the ubiquitous and elegant .NET framework. "The Framework", as those of us in the know fondly call it, is where all of technology is heading. We interviewed a programmer the other day who had Java on his resume. During the 6 hour interview, we had to spend 5 hours on him to get him to admit Java was inferior to .NET. He was so wiped out, he asked to leave before we were finished and has yet to recover, as he has not returned any of our calls for further interviews.
