OK, I'll bite...
Let's see if you would say the same if Microsoft was offering / selling at a special price their software to school kids. Obviously not, since your religious mission drives you against the evil open source and for the virtuous Microsoft.

Not that it would be necessary, as piracy played a fundamental roll for MS to achieve their current status. So, a lot of amateur dealers are hooking kids in MS software - sometimes even making a bit of money with it. But I suppose this is preferable to letting people know they actually have a choice.

"I just don't think kids should be so concerned about their computers as they should about after-school activities."

Oh, OK. Before you were saying how important it is that they are trained at school in the effective use of Microsoft software, but now they shouldn't be too concerned about perfecting their computer skills...

Look, I understand your problem with open source, but rest assure that most OSS developers are no fundamentalists, and constitute no menace to the software business... I'd be glad to give you my opinion on this, but it would take some effort and it's not clear whether you actually are willing to listen without taking the easy reaction and spewing FUD about Linsux.

But still, I do hope you are open-minded enough to listen to other points of view.
