All McAfee's security index indicates is that each component is installed and up-do-date. Other than that, it's pretty much useless information.

I don't have experience with McAfee's spam killer, but the fact that it's running doesn't necessarilly mean it works well.

I would suggest installing Ad-Aware and running a scan to see if it finds anything extra.
