No, Winblows will not go away for a very long time. There are too many installations who like it very much.

Keep in mind, Windows OSes require almost no real administration due to their simplicity, whereas Linux requires an Intelligence Quotient greater than that possessed by a duck to administer...

Remember, there are STILL people out there who ask, "Where's the Any Key???"..
