Only time I've seen an AIX system crash...
Yep, AIX is a good OS. It's the 'unfortunate' OS from IBM. They compared the AIX authorship and deployment to get various kinds of silicon solutions to the field....against Linux. It was in this comparison that they realized Linux would have saved them a LOT of time AND money in bringing the new silicon-ideas to market- to the tune of 80%.

Yes, AIX is a good box. And probably the last non-Linux machine they're gonna make. And I'm not the slightest bit uncomfortable with that idea.
