Average
In eastern Europe (parts that become EU this year) average wage for a programmer is closer to $8,000-$10,000.

Do you feel that cold wind closing when they enter EU? Perhaps Dutch positions will be outsourced too?

Do you mean that Dutch programmers have normal wages while others don't?

It is simple. US average is as in article, but some of us at senior engineering level still make above $100,000 a year.

Some however think that if they have MBA so that was more difficult to obtain from university than MSCS. I beg to differ...

MBA is so generic that once you obtained MS in any area you can easily obtain MBA - not the other way around though. Ironically these are MBA who try to make "savings" sending MS and BA jobs abroad. But for some MBA's... next turn.
