Funny... You sound like a employee at my factory
We have 3 people who claim to know everything
about Manufacturing and IS, but couldn't manage
a pile of rocks on a level field. If your
grammar is indication of your intelligence, then
I am glad you are very much away from IT.

Regarding those three people, one of which
decided to take it upon himself and make some IS
purchases. What a wonderful idea right? Yeah,
apparently he didn't look into the applications
he was trying to implement and their
requirements they needed. He decided to go the
linux route when there was no linux server for
the application. I have been well over a year
still trying to fix some of his blunders. I
would move a little faster, but those three
troublemakers can't stop trying to deter
management into thinking projects that save two
minutes a year take piority over projects that
save days out of the year.

Give your IT guys some credit, IBM may be
expensive, but they get the job done. We still
own our software, we still build our software,
and we still use IBM. They have their bumps,
but our Midrange system is a solid foundation of
our company that no Windows Server can even come
close to matching.
