Smart. This will force MSFT to start bundling Office with the OS. IBM is offering a suite of tools that are platform independent. Start with the OS you happen to have, migrate to Linux once your people are comfortable with the productivity software.

That's exactly how I migrate clients to OSS. Web enable business critical applications, replace the browser and productivity software, then at upgrade time switch the OS underneath. Lot less corporate culture shock that way.
