Notes is an impressive array of tools that makes simple email mundane. I use Domino through-out the company and after my department created a Lotus Notes and Lotus iNotes training course, usage has improved.

To compare Outlook to Notes is like comparing a Sports car to an 4x4 SUV. Sure you may feel like you can accomplish things fast, but with the SUV, you can go many more places. (Talking about Humvees, not those goliath Excursions or what every they are that really don't go any further than the suburbs.)

Notes was heavy, I run 6.5, and I think it causes less hiccups than Outlook. I haven't had near the trouble.

Oh, Security, Lotus Notes has a very robust architecture that Outlook simply does not have.
