You are comparing outsourcing to Asian based Linux? Now that is a stretch, even for you. IBM really is an international company. They are not outsourcing if they provide local development help (somewhere in Asia) on a product that is going to be used in Asia. Now if their Linux support for US customers is fielded in Asia as is Dell's and Gateway's, you have something. If development work on Websphere that is sold in the US is performed in Asia, then you have something. To call it outsourcing to provide assistance outside of the US for a product that is intended to be used where it is being developed, you have a problem with synapses firing in your brain.

Just out of curiosity, if IBM were to provide any workers from the US on the Asian Linux effort, wouldn't that be outsourcing from the point of view of Asia?
