Not a Liberal/Conservative slant...
Neither side of the table has really cared about this issue until recently. All we got from Clinton was "I feel your pain" during the blue collar exodus. All we get from Bush is "Huh?" during the white collar one. The fact is that large corporations like GE, HP, etc, are looking for cheap slave like labor to improve their margins and return a good share price. I find it ironic (not funny) that the stock market came to a crash the other day when the jobs report came out and suprise, it was not good. These idiots at the big corps, think that they have found a silver bullet in improving their costs by outsourcing, in some cases they are sending over positions that used to be a competive advantage. It will not be long before the Indians figure out,"Hey, whiy do we need GE or HP?"
As for the Indian head of technology, he is protecting his terf. Now, the question is, why can't I protect mine?
