The software police won't show up, but the service police may. If you have a service contract, the service police may come and see if you've installed it on more computers than your contract allows. If you do, they stop your service and keep your money. They can not make you wipe your hard drive, because the software doesn't belong to them. You are then free to either pay for the extra computers you've installed to get your service back or go to another vendor for service.
