why hasn't IBM open-sourced their JDK ?
Buggy and crappy as it is, and often two versions behind the current, why do they even make an effort to develop that ? Why not open-source it ? After all, they are creating all this FUD around 'open-source' java !

And they claim Sun is slowing down Java development yet, IBM's 'software' is always way behind in terms of J2SE and J2EE compliance ( inspite of that, its seriously buggy).

IBM has done a good job with their FUD though - beating competitors down and also gaining market-share with inferior, buggy products.

Too bad they couldn't outdo m$ otherwise, their sales would'a been higher by at least $30b !
