Money to Buy SCO ?
Here's a look...

RH goes out and outright buy all of SCO to make the treat against them go away (not to ALL Linux distro). IBM then buys part of RH (if not outright buy them out). Now, you have a new landscape: Novell/SuSe vs IBM/RH. If I'm HP and Sun, I would be really worrying. HP will then try to buy Novell to keep up with IBM. All the while, leaving Sun (and Dell) in the dust in the Linux chase.
