- Shure Oracle etc can do a lot Mysql does not. But the speed and stability are phenomenal. It's a question of using the right database for the task you are doing. I personly wouldn't dream of doing a website with oracle as a backend. If the website does mission critical stuff then maybe but Oracle comes at a price. Financialy and in performance. Mysql is a great website if you use it for what it was intended for. It's like comparing aplles and pears to put all databases on a great big pile and then try and figure out wich one's the best. There just is no such thing.
