I Agree 100% ... but ...
... I am starting to notice that "Joe Sixpack" is starting to impact upon my life. Higher taxes because "Joe Sixpack" doesn't want to get a job, or is untrained. Higher insurance because "Joe Sixpack" is uninsured, or makes frivolous legal claims. "Joe Sixpack" gets my social security money because he didn't plan ahead. And because the "Joe Sixpacks" of the world are starting to out-number the hard-working people, policians cater to the "Joe Sixpack" group -- there are loads of them, they are easily manipulated, and if you throw them a bone, they vote for you.

And now, RFIDs are becomming the norm because "Joe Sixpack" doesn't understand about privacy issues. Loads of spam because "Joe Sixpack" clicks links to get to his porn and viagra. No real place to get hard news because "Joe Sixpack" is more interested in Britney Spears and Michael Jackson. Spyware being integrated into the OS because "Joe Sixpack" needs his games.

So long as "Joe Sixpack" keeps to himself, life is good -- let natural selection sort him out. But it's not just about "Joe Sixpack" anymore.
