You're exactly right.
It's not in there and there's a good reason for that.

THE CONSTITUTION IS A LIMIT ON GOVERNMENT, NOT ON THE CITIZEN.

The Constitution doesn't tell *you* what you can do, it tells *government* what it can do. It doesn't bestow rights on the citizen, it protects them by limiting what the government can do.

Now you know why it's not in there, and how irrelevant the comment was to the current discussion.
