Where does it end???
In a way, I can understand why this is being done. In fact many of the really high end quality printers have had this for some time and hasn't caused problems.

But the thing that worries me is that once you open this can-o-worms, where does it stop? Will it become impossible to scan a drivers license to have on file? How about Social Security cards? My library card??? In fact wouldn't we all be "safer" if it was impossible to scan any government issued document?

Come to think of it, why just government documents? Obviously if someone wanted to spend the effort they could scan a check and "photoshop" the amount. Better include checks in the do not scan list too. Hmm, how about employee ID badges? Everyone knows that terrorists want to get a hold of them more than anything else, right?

Hey, I have the solution!!! Let's pass a law that says all paper must have a water mark that software recognises,jumps on the internet and determines if you may scan it or load it into memory on your computer. Now thats what I call real security!!!
