Just to add on that, not only should adobe notify their customers of this "feature", it should be VERY well documented somewhere on the outside of the package, so consumers can find out about this BEFORE they purchase the product.

This is no different than if GM Suddenly started selling cars with regulators and transponders to automatically read the speed limit in the area and limit the car to that speed, detect other vehicles and force you to follow at a 3 car length distance, etc. etc. etc.
... and DID NOT inform consumers before purchase of said vehicle
Yes, lots of accidents would be prevented, but man o man would there be some outrage goin on over that!
