Your damned if you do and your damned if you dont..chill.
I'm not particularly upset JUST that the feature is there, both the US Government and Adobe have good reasons for it.. BUT, what DOES bother me is the way we all had to find out about it.. Adobe should have been upfront with users and informed them about the new feature either in the press literature, advertising, on-site info or the help file.

Ahh the American consumer. The most well protected, soft, individualistic complainers in the world. We really have to all chill out and realize "for that take it for granted protection" many things must be done that yes..may inhibit your freedom a bit...Not take it away...Just inhibit.

I think what Adobe has done here is an EFFECTIVE method to stop criminals who counterfeit money.

Perhaps they should require some liscensing fee and registration for those who want to turn the feature off. Regardless, in these days of terrorist threats, excessive counterfitting, piracy etc. these types of things will continue.

As much as many of you complain about the evil corporations, you must also realize these companies must do things to cut costs and survive.
At least this action is more to answer an International threat...I mean hey folks many of you will still be able to make those illegal ripped copies of the software...and you know many of you do it. And when the days come when companies like Adobe make it harder to "copy" their software, boy will we see the whiners come out of the woodwork.

I'm for anything to keep companies honestly profitable, keep American companies in The US, and employ in the US...but unfortunatly many of you dont get that.
