Whatever Happened to Software Engineering ?
I remember 10 years ago I was interviewed by a company called CSAT Systems. On my arrival, they gave me a test and told me that beyond this test, there will be no other technical interview. Surprisingly, the test had nothing to do with computers or software. It was an Analytical ability test and I did pretty well in it. Afterwards they took me to a bar and finalized the remaining formalities of joining the company. What a pleasure working for that company was. Their hiring philosophy was simple - You have experince, education and are Analytical enough, the rest we know you'll be able to handle easily...

But such companies do not exist anymore...
