Was it even a real MSFT job?
Another funny thing...a lot of people who thought they were going to work for MSFT end up working for a contractor. All the work and none of the benefits.

The line they tried with me was that they really "intended" to make that a job a real MSFT job instead of...I think it was Volt back in those days. My response was that the world was full of good intent but I wanted a contract and options with a negotiated discount and none of that vesting over the next 100 years *****, give me half up front and three years on the rest. Show me the money.

That didn't go over very well. They're not afraid to play hardball with you but send a line drive their way and they get all huffy. Like how dare you challenge the great and powerful MOz!
