Absurd...
MS hiring practices are the best. My rep allows me to sit in on them, usually on the other side of a two-way mirror. Here I see applicant after applicant floored by infinite MS wisdom. MCSE's are brought in to the room in waves and attack applicants from all angles. At the end of the day, the applicant is completely fried and is then sent to the airport with no clue as to what happened. I have tried to emulate this at my own company and have trained my MCSE's to act in good cop/bad cop scenarios with applicants, including in some instances throwing chairs.
