i have to agree with you...
generalization of one set group tends to alienate others in that group that find the MCSE not really much of the factor in being hired. I had the chance to get the MCSE because the company i was working for wanted it. They paid for it, and all, so i took the free cert. Not every MCSE is worthless, the ones who go to the bootcamps, i can say these guys are normally pretty worthless. They have no hands on skills, they have no experience really other than being told whats on the exams and what to study. As for people like me who do use it, and do work in the field and have so for many years, they are a different story. They aren't normally set in stone with what they work on. I have Novell certs up the yinyang as well as cisco and a few others, all they are to me is a piece of paper that says i'm competant in my field, they shouldn't be something that should hold any bearing on hiring practices in my opinion. A piece of paper is one thing, being able to do the actual work is by far another.


Just my 2 cents.
