Boy, ain't it the truth.
Over a decade ago, an MS recruiter offered me an all expense paid trip to Redmond to interview with them.

He seemed genuinely insulted that I couldn't drop the migration I was doing for one of my major clients, leaving them in the lurch at one of their busiest times of the year, to take "just a couple of days off to ensure MY future."

I suggested that if he would give me just a week or so I would be ready to fly up there and talk to them. I never heard from him, or THEM, again.

I guess loyalty to the people who pay your salary just isn't important to MS, which means they treat their employees as poorly as their customers.

Without their monopoly, they wouldn't have survived.
