Before poo-pooing Go's claims, have a look who made the '20 year' comment - it was a Microsoft spruiker.

Microsoft introduced 'pen computing' to thwart Go - they even added handwriting recognition to Word before Windows 95 was released. Go's market was sufficiently reduced that they couldn't survive, subsequent to their demise Microsoft promptly lost interest in pen computing (sound familiar?).

Microsoft's actions have to be seen in the light of a monopolist (proven by Jackson and supported by the court of appeals). Their actions are therefore held to a different yardstick than if they were just another competitor giving away product to boost sales.

If the tablet PC is the best MS can do, then they are still behind where Go was 10 years ago.
