I am a small business owner that uses 3 different OSes OSX, LINUX, and yes XP. Now flame away.

Any developer can write apps for Linux if the so choose. No one is stopping them.

"The only reason the OS has been important to Microsoft is that they have a monopoly and they are using it illegally."

Wrong again bucko.The OS for Microsoft is their flagship product. THEY SELL their flagship product to the consumers. It is called free market. Open your own business and you will know what I mean. Of course a broom and mop rider like yourself would not know this. WTF is illegal about that?

"If Microsoft obeyed the law, they wouldn't have an advantage due to their OS monopoly."

Love or hate Microsoft their are two things they do well. 1.. they market, market, market their product(s). 2. They play hardball in the busines world. Microsoft has obeyed the laws and restrictions placed on the them.

" If they want to keep on illegally leveraging their OS monopoly, these lawsuits are going to keep on coming."

Did you read anything of this story besides the title?

I didn't think so.

As for the lawsuits that will "keep on coming" these companies that continue to sue Microsoft have no means to compete so their final gasp for life is a lawsuit. Check their stock prices. What have they to lose. They get some lawfirm that works on "results" so there is no risk and the lawfirm gets a break from chasing ambulances.
