If you've seen stories in the press recently,
much of the world thinks we're downright cheap. The US was slammed for not pledging enough money for tsunami relief last year and, I just saw Bono on TV saying that we are not doing nearly enough to help Africa. Where that idiot got his education in world economics is left unanswered but, because he seems to be a celebrity, people listen to him. Personally, I think his music sucks but he should stick to it and keep his personal opinions to himself. Entertainers shouldn't use their celebrity to influence the public on affairs outside their profession because they usually don't know what the hell they're talking about. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing.
