Put a little WIMAX on it!
Maybe the steamroller can detour through the Himalayas? Without internet connectivity in the Indian countryside, maybe you could link together these cheap computers into a MESH and then when ONE of them can connect to the internet, they ALL can! WHAT a concept! OH WAIT, BOFH says it can't be done. Oh well.
