hhmm they have a post limit here now
I tried to reply to your issues post and it won't let me. Oh well... As far as the issues go the exchange issue was a problem with MacAfee web shield. We had to change the port settings, so no blame on MS there. The IIS issue started about a week ago when the www service started shutting itself off. the logs just say hey www service has shut off for an unknown reason and that's it. it continued to do this every few minutes after I told it to restart on any failures. I did some searches on google and some other guy had the same issue and MS had him install SP4. It's also suggested that it might be related to one of the worms running around (although I haven't found any signs of one). Why I can't download from that link is killing me, I don't get it, I'm stumped LOL. perhaps it could be a setting on my firewall but why is it only affecting the MS site....

Ya, ok the office software is more of an accessory to the OS so I'll give you luggage rack instead of motor wink My issue is what if I have to download something from MS to fix something that will most likely be wrong with the new office. Even worse what if I set up their new 2003 server have it protecting my documents and it goes down and then I can't download the patch from MS. Now I would be faced with explaining to a mayor why he can open the agenda for tonight's commission meeting. So going back to the beginning, if I have problems downloading a service pack and it keeps my website down. I'm not going to be very excited about purchasing the new office software that will be dependent on servers to keep it running. feewww
