Yes, anything they can do to create confusion around open standards is well
worth the time and money they spend. They are not happy having the original compatible version running on Windows. They need to create incompatibilities and confusion.

The funny thing is that Miguel de Icaza is giving them a taste of their own medicine by cloning .NET. It will not be 100% compatible with the MS version, and will be 10x cheaper to deploy.
