Word From The Front Office : "Green Light on Java!"
Since switching from IIS and .Net to Apache and Java, productivity in our Unix department has gone up 1000%, totally leaving our Microsoft techs in the dust. My Unix rep and I talked this morning during our daily horse ride from the parking lot, and we discussed the intricacies of moving from a monopolistic platform to the freedom and stability of Unix..."Son" he said..."it's like the difference between running the Kentucky Derby on a champion thoroughbred or a pack mule....both will reach their destination, but one is going to get there faster and have time to get more done...". I was in awe of this statement, but the tension was broken when my horse took a dump in the front seat of one of the Microsoft tech's convertible VW.

Hilarity ensues!
