Underqualified does NOT = Minorities!

Why is it assumed that when minorities are hired they have less
skills and are filling a quota?

It's all in who you know.

Is the nephew of the boss' best friend more qualified?

Or what about the college kid that looks like someone from
childhood -- except that this applicant cheated his way through
school using internet term papers?

Some credit has to go to those minorities who have managed to
succeed in spite of other people whispering discouraging things
behind their back, AND in spite of they themselves or older
relatives having experienced discrimination.

Yes, it may be a new generation, but they still hear stories from
their elders, and are sensitive to current news that indicates
prejudice is still around, and that can get to a person,
subconsciously. Yet they still want good jobs like everyone else.

And all you guys who think it shouldn't matter and it's a new
world obviously have no hiring authority.
