OK ... 1.3 billion people does not equal that many desktops ... Japan and South Korea are technically advanced, but much of China is still working on getting electricity, and you can forget North Korea pretty much outside of the government.

Also, just because these companies work together and produce an Asian-oriented product does not guarantee they will take over that particular market. This will make large waves but is not a guaranteed slam dunk.

I had to point this out. Still, it's good news for continuing competition in the OS market.
