I want my MP3 player to be able to play music from a music store. Since MP3 is the most popular music format by far this would seem to be a sensible thing to offer.

So this is Gates in 1500 RPM spin mode here.

Offering a single choice (WMA+DRM) badged by many different vendors isn't the same as offering many choices.
